This session will address the following two key issues:
1. Creating safer bridges by considering resilience issues also for ageing bridges
2. Approaches for the whole bridge stock
The session will present a wide range for improving resilience for the whole bridge stock. The presentations give input for the upcoming PIARC report "Road Bridges – Requirements and Evaluation Methods for Structural Redundancy". Thererfore the current status of work of WG3 will also be presented.
