Chair: Rafael Aldrete, Texas A&M Transportation Institute, Mexico
Room: Room 6
This interactive workshop will showcase progress from PIARC TC 1.3’s three work groups, each addressing a key dimension of road project delivery in the era of resilience and decarbonization. Participants will engage in hands-on exercises—testing a transparency diagnostic matrix, evaluating procurement incentives for sustainability, and exploring how standardized environmental assessment tools and methodologies (such as SEVE-TP) can support consistent, measurable, and comparable sustainability practices across projects and countries. The session is designed not only to share knowledge but also to gather direct feedback from practitioners, which will shape TC 1.3’s final outputs.
